    I ran out of the coffee shop when I heard the news: Michael Joseph Jackson, a resplendent star in the world of popular music, has fallen.

    My friends must have been his biggest fanatics. His soul-touching music, full-of-beans dances were just enchanting. Those days of his glory, triumphs are now memories─everlasting memories.

    I feel sad about him in his late years. Embroiled in so many negative events and suffering severe sickness, Michael Jackson seemed to have changed. At times, I don’t feel like I recognize him. But I do know this: he is the king of pop music, and forever will be. I felt a gush of melancholy whilst listening to the singers singing “We are the world” on his Memorial Finale. It reminded me of Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder. Yes, their voices were beautiful. So was Michael’s.

    I salute you, Michael Joseph Jackson! You shall live on in our minds forever.
