  “If you miss the train I’m on, you will know that I am gone. You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.” This song emerges from the depths of my mind whenever I go journeying on a train. Yet this time, the condition varied: I am returning to the place whence I came. That is, home sweet home.

   Outside the window, the verdant trees and the nimble clouds reeled backwards, suddenly out of sight. Although everything was backing off, I was head straight and headstrong. I had no time for such kind of frivolous matters. In my heart lied only one destination─a place to call home.

   Finally, after hours of arrant nostalgia, I arrived at my abode. The dim streetlamp light fell softly on to the pavement, surreptitiously infiltrating its interstice; the rustle and bustle showed completely no hint of slowing down. Ah… they appeared to be so familiar to me. I embraced my dearly beloved family, and we shared the joyous moment altogether. What an indescribable feeling that was!

   Zenero from Final Fantasy IX once spoke after reuniting with his brothers：”Family is precious!” A line which may seem platitudinous, it might not catch one’s eye easily. But to me, who witnessed the atrocious carnages and heinous havocs that took place in the world of Gaia, it was as certain as ever. Family and kinship are unseen forces, invisible bonds which are formed ever since our birth. What’s more, it lasts forever throughout our lives. ‘Tis truly something we could possess and rely on eternally. So yes, it is precious. Some say leaving home stands for freedom and independence. Surely, I cannot say they’re wrong, for every individual has his or her own choice and perspective. As a matter of fact, I think they’re fairly correct, since leaving home compels us to learn about time management, self discipline and many, many other things. Nonetheless, I still like the pleasant aura at home. So tender, so sweet…

   Of course, I had to return to school ultimately. But that at all did not trouble me. Because I know with my family’s support and blessing, I will be intrepid and impervious to the arduous predicaments of life! There shall always be hope!
